Isn't it about time you joined in the fight for your rights???ABATE works to safeguard our motorcycling rights, while allowing us to be individuals with different views. ABATE's main concern is putting motorcycle legislation in its proper perspective. This is being accomplished through motorcycle safety education programs, public awareness programs, and other programs designed to prevent injury or fatal accidents to motorcyclists.ABATE keeps the legislature informed of our position on any legislation that is unfair or discriminatory towards motorcyclists. ABATE works closely with motorcycle rights organizations across the nation to stop discriminatory legislation aimed at all motorcyclists throughout the country.ABATE works to educate the public about motorcycles and our equality on the road. We teach motorcycle awareness classes to high school students who are about to start driving. We show them that we are people who are just as entitled to be on the roads as they are.By joining ABATE, you can become a part of a political power that has come together to oppose anti-motorcycling legislation and promote the safety of motorcyclists. You can help support the implementation of programs that will help the sport of motorcycling.You will receive a patch, a yearly membership card, yearly rocker, bumper sticker, and a monthly newsletter that contains notices of ABATE activities and will keep you informed of any legislative activity affecting you--the motorcyclist. You can participate with fellow riders in service-oriented activities such as blood runs, toy runs, and clothing and food drives for the needy. Our positive public image is greatly enhanced by the generosity and concern shown through these charitable endeavors. We have over 50 chapters spread throughout the state. You may join any chapter you wish no matter where you live, or you may join as a state member. However, we strongly suggest you select a chapter preference. There is no extra fee for joining a chapter. When you join a chapter and attend meetings you may vote on the issues at hand and play a part in shaping the direction this organization will take. Joining As a Couple
Any two people residing at the same residence may join as a couple. The only difference between joining as a couple and joining as individuals is that you will receive only one copy of our monthly newsletter. This saves money for not only the members but ABATE as well. Postage is one of our largest operating expenses. Should one of you move, for whatever reason, you need only notify the state office and both addresses will be placed on the mailing list.
Renewals
You may use the same form for renewals, or a combination of new and renewal joining as a couple.
Chapter Preference
Find a chapter near you. You may join any chapter you wish no matter where you live, or you may join as a state member. If you latter decide to transfer from one chapter to another you may do so by notifying the state office.
(Membership is not transferable from one state to another, however you need not be an Illinois resident to belong to ABATE of IL)

Where did you hear about ABATE? If an individual referred you to ABATE, please include their name. They may receive credit in one of our membership drives.

Add $1 for Legislative Contributions.
Don't forget to add the $1 to your check. This is a contribution to ABATE/PAC.
A copy of our report is or will be on file with the State Board of Elections, Springfield.
